Daniel Snaith is not you average man.
Dan comes from a family of mathematics masterminds. His father is the professor at the mathematics department in the University in Sheffield and his sister, Nina, is working on her Ph.D in random matrix theory. Dan Snaith obtained his Ph.D in 2005.

So when his not being this mathematics genius, he creates psycadelic electro pop under the name Caribou. Recently he´s been working on a club DJ project he calls Daphni.

Recent Caribou albums, Andorra and Swim are one my last years favorite albums. The songs are filled with electronic psycadelic and (often complex) acoustic sounds. What really made me like them even more is that Dan Snaith has a live band with him and they play every single sound live. I Caribou live last year in Reykjavík and not once did I see them use a playback or a computer.
Dan Snaith, you truly blow my mind.
